Kickoff of the Mine Game Project:

The Mine Game project, aimed at fostering student engagement in STEM through Minecraft-based eSports, held its 1st Transnational Partners Meeting on 18 March 2025 in Valladolid, Spain. The Mine Game project, designed to foster student engagement in STEM subjects through Minecraft-based eSports, brought together all partner organizations for introductions, discussions, and planning.

The meeting was a great chance for partners to get to know each other and build strong collaboration within the consortium. Attendees explored strategies for designing STEM-themed sports games in Minecraft, reviewed the Mine Game Handbook, examined game specifications, and outlined the next steps for upcoming activities.

Project management, dissemination, and quality assurance were also key topics, ensuring a solid foundation for the project’s success. This kickoff meeting set the stage for creating innovative, game-based learning experiences that combine competition, teamwork, and STEM education, paving the way for engaging and impactful classroom and extracurricular activities.
