Teacher and Management Training in Rome, September 16-19, 2025

Insights from Women Entrepreneurs

From September 16th to 19th, 2025, Digital Research and Communication (DRC) hosted an international training event in Rome as part of the Erasmus+ project “Women Entrepreneurs: Digital Learning for Social Start-Ups” (WEDSS) Project No: 2024-2-IT02-KA210-ADU-000293400.

The training brought together educators, trainers, and project partners to enhance skills in entrepreneurship education, focusing on digital learning tools and social start-ups created by women.

On September 17th, the official opening included a short walk in the district, followed by the presentation of the project workplan (DRC). Participants then engaged in sessions covering:
– Introduction to Entrepreneurship Education by VUC Storstrøm
– Stories from Women Entrepreneurs and Social Start-Ups, featuring talks from: Cristina Ciacchella, Employment Consultant, and Filomena Di Nuzzo, Entrepreneur
These sessions offered practical insights into the challenges and successes of women-led social enterprises, inspiring participants to integrate real-world examples into their teaching

Developing Digital Micro-Lessons

A major focus of the training was the development of digital micro-lessons for social entrepreneurship. Key activities included:

_Digital Micro-Lessons Educational Framework (VUC)
_Workshops on micro-lesson ideation and implementation (DRC)
_Hands-on sessions for creating digital content tailored to adult learners in entrepreneurship education
_Presentation of workshop results and feedback (all participants)

This approach ensured that participants not only learned theoretical frameworks but also developed practical, ready-to-use teaching materials for empowering women entrepreneurs.

What Is WEDSS?

WEDSS is a training and empowerment project designed to support women with limited job opportunities and low income by helping them gain the skills, confidence, and digital know-how needed to create and grow their own social enterprises. The project places a strong emphasis on digital education and social entrepreneurship as pathways to economic inclusion.
