Teacher and Management Training – Rome, PAGE

From September 16th to 19th, 2025, Digital Research and Communication (DRC) proudly hosted an international training event in the heart of Rome as part of the Erasmus+ project “Women Entrepreneurs: Digital Learning for Social Start-Ups” (WEDDS) (Project No: 2024-2-IT02-KA210-ADU-000293400).

This event represented a key milestone in the project’s mission to empower women through digital learning and entrepreneurship, bringing together a diverse group of educators, trainers, and project partners from across Europe. Over four intensive days, participants had the opportunity to engage in collaborative workshops, expert lectures, and hands-on training sessions designed to strengthen their skills in entrepreneurship education, particularly focusing on digital learning tools and the development of social start-ups led by women.

The training aimed not only to equip educators with practical tools and methodologies but also to foster a European community of practice dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs. Through interactive sessions, participants explored innovative approaches to teaching, exchanged experiences, and developed concrete strategies to help women overcome barriers in creating socially impactful enterprises.

Opening and Insights from Women Entrepreneurs

On September 17th, the official opening included a short walk in the district, followed by the presentation of the project workplan (DRC). Participants then engaged in sessions covering:

  1. Introduction to Entrepreneurship Education by VUC Storstrøm
  2. Stories from Women Entrepreneurs and Social Start-Ups, featuring talks from: Cristina Ciacchella, Employment Consultant, and Filomena Di Nuzzo, Entrepreneur

These sessions offered practical insights into the challenges and successes of women-led social enterprises, inspiring participants to integrate real-world examples into their teaching.

Developing Digital Micro-Lessons

A major focus of the training was the development of digital micro-lessons for social entrepreneurship. Key activities included:

– Digital Micro-Lessons Educational Framework (VUC)

– Workshops on micro-lesson ideation and implementation (DRC)

– Hands-on sessions for creating digital content tailored to adult learners in entrepreneurship education

– Presentation of workshop results and feedback (all participants)

This approach ensured that participants not only learned theoretical frameworks but also developed practical, ready-to-use teaching materials for empowering women entrepreneurs.
